First Nations Guest Artists

The Courtyard Gallery is located within the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwepemc people. We are grateful space has been made for us here in what is known as Enderby.

It is our privilege to feature the work of four First Nations artists as our ‘guest artists’ from September 30 to November 4, 2023:

Neskonlith Elder Delores Purdaby contributes birchbark and pine needle baskets.

Neskonlith Knowledge Keeper Gerry Thomas a birch bark basket.

Neskonlith Elder Mary Thomas exhibits photographs and beading.

We welcome the drawings of Maggie Bain, a coast Salish member of the Shisha’lh Nation and newcomer to the Splatsin area.
